The Youth Participatory Budget is an initiative that gives a voice to children and young people in the municipality, allowing them to submit ideas and vote on projects that help improve their school, parish, and quality of life.
Promoted by the Municipality of Vila Verde, this process encourages active citizenship, creativity, and a spirit of participation from an early age, bringing younger generations closer to public decision-making.
Who can participate
Children and young people who reside, study, or have a connection to the municipality may participate, in accordance with the ages and conditions defined in the Rules of Participation.

Sports and leisure
Public spaces and youth

The Youth Participatory Budget is carried out in several stages:
Submission of proposals – ideas are submitted by participating young people.
Technical review – feasibility assessment conducted by municipal services.
Public voting – projects are selected by the youth community.
Implementation – execution of the winning proposals.
