Between November 1st and May 31st, when the danger of rural fires does not reach very high or maximum levels, the burning of cut and piled brushwood and any type of leftovers from agricultural holdings, as well as that resulting from mandatory phytosanitary requirements, is subject to mere Prior Communication to the City Council, under the terms of article 66 of Decree-Law no. 82/2021, of October 13th.
However, considering the dry weather, the low humidity and the temperatures that are still high for this time of year, Vila Verde City Council informs that the period of prohibition of burning piles and fires extends until October 31.
In this sense, the entire population is urged to avoid risky behaviors and attitudes that jeopardize the defense and protection of the forest and, above all, the safety of people and property.
Therefore, between November 1st and May 31st, you can make this report:
