Message from the Mayor

Dear People of Vila Verde,

It is with immense pride and enthusiasm that I assume the role of Mayor of Vila Verde for the 2021–2025 term. I thank the people of Vila Verde for the vote of confidence placed in me and my team, as well as in our strategy for the development of our municipality.

Collective mobilization is the key to driving Vila Verde forward and raising our municipality to an even higher level of progress.

People are and will always be our top priority, and our greatest concern.

I deeply enjoy what I do—engaging daily with our citizens, working closely with local institutions, and collaborating with everyone involved in our community who shares the goal of making Vila Verde a better place for all.

We continue to rely on the dedication and outstanding work of our local institutions, associations, community groups, entrepreneurs, and all the people of Vila Verde. Step by step, with determination and ambition, we are building a municipality that is not only more modern, but also more just, united, and inclusive.

We count on the energy and commitment of all our local leaders.

Our Parish Councils and Assemblies, along with the Municipal Assembly, are indispensable partners in this pursuit of a thriving region where everyone can access opportunities and fulfill their life goals.

To the employees and collaborators of the Vila Verde Municipality, I extend my sincere thanks for all they have done to streamline and improve the effectiveness of municipal services. We count on everyone to help us build a public administration that serves the people of Vila Verde with speed, efficiency, and quality—where all are treated equally.

May everyone who works for the municipality, regardless of their position, follow a principle that I consider fundamental: put yourself in someone else’s shoes. We exist only as representatives and servants of the people of Vila Verde.

The conditions are set for all of us, united in defending the best interests of Vila Verde and its people, to give our very best to make Vila Verde a prosperous and modern municipality, with a bright future ahead.

We are driven by a strong desire to always do more and better, so that Vila Verde can grow and establish itself as a municipality that offers excellent conditions for both investment and quality of life.

Now is the time to roll up our sleeves and work hard for the progress of our land and the well-being and happiness of our people.

We carry with us the strength, the will, and the love of so many—truly many—who give their all to make Vila Verde a municipality that is ever more prosperous, modern, competitive, united, inclusive, and joyful.
