Usage Rules / Conditions of Use
The Pilgrim Hostel S. Pedro de Goães is a facility supporting pilgrims, owned by the Vila Verde Municipal Council.
Hostel Hours: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Reception Desk Hours: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
All pilgrims, whether heading to Compostela or Fátima, may access the Pilgrim Hostel S. Pedro de Goães, provided they are properly identified with their Pilgrim Credential (or another relevant document).
The stay at the Pilgrim Hostel S. Pedro de Goães is limited to one night, except in cases with duly justified reasons.
Access to the S. Pedro de Goães Pilgrims’ Hostel will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis and preferably to:
a) Pilgrims on foot and/or with physical limitations;
b) Pilgrims on horseback;
c) Pilgrims by bicycle.
Organized groups (ten or more people) and pilgrims with support vehicles may only stay overnight if there are vacant spots, after 6:00 PM.
The S. Pedro de Goães Pilgrims’ Hostel has a register book, where the identification details of the pilgrims will be recorded.
The maintenance of the S. Pedro de Goães Pilgrims’ Hostel is funded by the generosity of the pilgrims. Pilgrims are kindly asked to leave a donation according to their means.
Pilgrims must leave the facilities by 9:00 AM.
In the event of non-compliance with these Rules of Use, as well as any behavior likely to be considered disruptive to the proper functioning of the “São Pedro de Goães” Pilgrims’ Hostel, the hostel authorities must require the offenders to leave the facilities, without prejudice to the investigation of responsibilities and possible reporting to the police authorities.
The Municipality of Vila Verde is not responsible for any material or personal damage resulting from the use of the Pilgrims’ Hostel.
The S. Pedro de Goães Pilgrims’ Hostel reserves the Right of Admission.
