Cumprimento Normativo

On December 9, 2021, Decree-Law no. 109-E/2021 was published, approving the General Regime for the Prevention of Corruption (RGPC) and also establishing the National Anti-Corruption Mechanism (MENAC), an independent administrative body whose mission is to promote transparency, integrity in public action, and the effectiveness of policies for the prevention of corruption and related offences.

Pursuant to Article 5 of the RGPC, the entities covered are required to adopt and implement a Regulatory Compliance Program, consisting of a set of documents, procedures, and mechanisms aimed at preventing, detecting, and sanctioning acts of corruption and related offences committed against or through the entity.

Additionally, the RGPC provides for the appointment of a Compliance Officer (RCN), a member of senior management or equivalent, responsible for ensuring and monitoring the implementation of the aforementioned Program. In this context, the Compliance Officer of the Municipality of Vila Verde was appointed through Order no. 1178/2026/MVV, of January 14.

Finally, in accordance with Article 12 of the RGPC, the public entities covered are required to make available on their intranet and official website a set of information, as a guarantee of the right to information and administrative transparency.
