Specific exemptions or reductions in urbanization and construction.
Families whose monthly per capita income is equal to or less than half the national minimum wage and who are considered needy according to the report prepared by the competent municipal social services are exempt from paying urbanization and construction fees. This is only applicable to projects identified in the previous paragraph that have a total construction area equal to or less than 200m2, provided they are intended for the permanent residence of the respective household;

Rent support consists of providing financial assistance to disadvantaged social groups, in the monthly amount of €175 (tier A), €125 (tier B), or €100 (tier C).
To access this support, residents must have resided in the municipality for at least two years and have a per capita income equal to or less than 30% of the legally established minimum wage.
The conditions for accessing the assistance in the respective tiers are available in the Municipal Regulation for Rental Support for Disadvantaged Social Groups.
The Vila Verde Municipality’s social housing projects aim to contribute to a more dignified quality of life, thus improving the living conditions of needy families.
The municipality has 23 occupied homes: 9 three-bedroom apartments in the parish of Vila Verde, 8 individual homes in the parish of Barbudo, and 6 townhouses in the parish of Parada de Gatim.
