Door 65 Youth

The Porta 65 program covers two modalities: Porta 65 Jovem, aimed at young people, and Porta 65+ for candidates of any age group. (Applications can be submitted throughout the year).

All applicants must access the platform, authenticating with their Citizen Card, Digital Mobile Key, or NIF (Tax Identification Number) and their respective password to access the Finance Portal.

Applicants cannot benefit, cumulatively, from other public housing subsidies or support.

Porta 65 Jovem aims to support young people aged 18 to 35 in renting housing for permanent residence, providing a percentage of the rent as a monthly subsidy.

Monthly support, between 50 and 200 euros:

• in the first 12 months, 35%;

• between 13 and 36 months, 40%;

• between 37 and 60 months, 45%.

Exemption from Urbanization and Building Fees

Specific exemptions or reductions in urbanization and construction.

Families whose monthly per capita income is equal to or less than half the national minimum wage and who are considered needy according to the report prepared by the competent municipal social services are exempt from paying urbanization and construction fees. This is only applicable to projects identified in the previous paragraph that have a total construction area equal to or less than 200m2, provided they are intended for the permanent residence of the respective household;

Granting of Tax Benefits – IMT for YOUNG PEOPLE

Types of benefits

Total or partial exemption from IMT on the acquisition of a building or fraction for permanent residence by young people.

Conditions of access

be 36 years of age or older and no older than 40 years of age (one member of a young couple may be up to 41 years of age, as long as both are not older than 80 years of age).

Benefits

Total exemption from IMT: the amount used as the basis for settlement cannot exceed €150,000.00

50% reduction: the amount used as a basis for settlement is greater than €150,000.00 and less than €250,000.00.

IMPORTANT: The IMT exemption or reduction depends on recognition by the City Council BEFORE the acquisition of the property. (number 3, article 8)

Rental Support

Rent support consists of providing financial assistance to disadvantaged social groups, in the monthly amount of €175 (tier A), €125 (tier B), or €100 (tier C).
To access this support, residents must have resided in the municipality for at least two years and have a per capita income equal to or less than 30% of the legally established minimum wage.
The conditions for accessing the assistance in the respective tiers are available in the Municipal Regulation for Rental Support for Disadvantaged Social Groups.

Social Housing

The Vila Verde Municipality’s social housing projects aim to contribute to a more dignified quality of life, thus improving the living conditions of needy families.

The municipality has 23 occupied homes: 9 three-bedroom apartments in the parish of Vila Verde, 8 individual homes in the parish of Barbudo, and 6 townhouses in the parish of Parada de Gatim.

Support for Housing Recovery

Housing Rehabilitation support is intended for needy families who have lived in the municipality of Vila Verde for more than 5 years and covers the following situations:

Conservation, repair, or improvement work on dilapidated housing, including connections to water, electricity, and sewage networks;
Expansion of housing or completion of construction work;
Improving the safety and comfort of people experiencing difficulties or risks related to mobility and/or home safety, resulting from the aging process or debilitating chronic illnesses.

The support provided by the Municipality is temporary, variable in amount, and also includes:

Financial support for construction work;
Support with materials
Financial support for the development of architectural projects
