Educational Map

The Municipal Educational Map is a strategic planning tool for the (re)organization and prospective restructuring of the network of educational and teaching facilities, in accordance with the educational and training offers that need to be provided within the municipality. Its goal is to promote the quality of the educational and training system, ensure more efficient use of resources and educational offers, and correct inequalities and asymmetries, within the framework of demographic and socio-economic development.

According to Article 15 of Decree-Law No. 21/2019, dated January 30, the revision of the 2nd generation Municipal Educational Map of Vila Verde primarily aimed to monitor and update the dynamics occurring within the educational system and ensure its cohesive alignment with the local reality, in order to support decision-making in the design of educational policy strategies for the municipal territory.

The Educational Map was approved by the Municipal Education Council on April 28, by the Municipal Executive on May 19, and by the Municipal Assembly in June of the current year.
